Name means: "Either jovial or deadly serious". This name can be interpreted as a wolf knowing what's appropriate (and when), or the exact opposite, depending on the context.

Year 4: J'Laeni joined Coal Valley towards the end of the year, deciding to settle down with Xhous' sub-pack.
Though the official reason given was that she wanted to help care for her new friends pups, it seemed obvious to the older pack members that she was very much in love with a young male named Akaah.
The two never spent much time apart, always laughing and playing together, and it's not much of a surprise when they announce that they're officially together in the late summer of year 5.

Year 5: After officially becoming mates, Akaah continues training as a chaser, hoping to impress J'Laeni by honing his skills to provide for their family.
With more free time on her paws, J'Laeni decides to make an effort getting to know the newest member of the pack, a sullen and skittish young female called Fhua. J'Laeni extends her sympathy as another outsider, and gradually learns more about Fhua and her reason for being so antisocial.
Horrified at the younger wolf's poor treatment, she suggests that Ila'k'ra make her the sub-pack's new scout in order to give Fhua some of the freedom she so desperately needs.
