Biography

How fickle the Fae are.
Tenebris had been captivated by Salena of the Snake River Pack from the moment she'd stumbled into his realm. She'd never realized, as she stumbled from the moon-stained wood, that she hadn't left it alone. Tenebris had followed her to the fringes of his realm, where it overlapped with her own.
He watched the mortal wolf, fascinated and enraptured by her. She was fast, both mentally and physically. She was a delight to behold for a fairy who'd spent his days with the supernatural, with those who were expected to be incredible. To find a mortal who was both limited by her mortality, and still managed to surprise him despite it... he was hooked.
It was midsummer when he chose to finally reveal himself to her. He'd appeared as a black wolf whose markings resembled a cloudy night - with a thick, soft coat not so unlike her own. Of course, he didn't come out and declare himself a faerie who'd been stalking her (in a totally not creepy way shut up). That would be weird and off-putting and frankly just an all-around terrible idea. No, he played the part of a charming rogue wolf, earned himself an invite to her pack, and began his courtship.
The summer marched on and she warmed up to him, little by little.
It was when the leaves began to turn and the wind blew cooler that he was certain he'd finally won her over. And it was then that Koriel of the Rose Lake Pack arrived to trade and share news of the past season with Salena.
Tenebris knew of Koriel and the Rose Lake Pack. They were allied with the Snake River Pack. He'd even seen Koriel come and go, sometimes with gifts, sometimes offering a trade, back when Tenebris hid himself. This was the first he saw the wolf in person, though. And Koriel did not come alone this time. Koriel came with a winged wolf(?) who called himself Daybreak. According to Koriel (but protested in hushed tones by Daybreak), Daybreak had spent too long admiring his own reflection in the lake, and now, seeking a mate, longed for someone with a coat similar to his own. Koriel explained to Salena that he would be searching with Daybreak for such an individual.
Salena had barely begun to mention off-hand she actually had a pack member with a similar marking to Daybreak when Tenebris swept by her, fur rippling and changing before the wolves' eyes. No longer was Tenebris as dark as the night, but instead her glossy fur captured the rich colors of dusk. She strode up to Daybreak, who was both pleased and stunned to unexpectedly find another faerie here, and she introduced herself as Tenebris and very interested in joining his pack.
It seemed that while a mortal wolf had captured Tenebris's attention for a time, she could hardly resist the allure of the supernatural that she knew so well. She declared that Daybreak would have a season to impress her or else she would be on her way.
Koriel and Salena exchanged confused, helpless looks. This... this was not how they expected this visit to go.
