Not too long after they opened their eyes, Kenji displayed an ability to look after their littermates. That took the form of stumbling into two who were engaged in play a little too rough. As they grew and became more coordinated, Kenji helped Golden and their mother to corral their siblings. They were not ever aggressive, only kind.

By the time Kenji was six months of age, they were seeking out activities such as helping to refresh nesting material, organizing the food pile, and other necessary tasks. Kenji did not need to be asked to do so. Aduilc was proud. Out of all their siblings, Kenji alone expressed a desire to stay.
