Skyla

During the lesson: Kemper talked about the differences between hunting alone and hunting in a pack. Skyla listened carefully, trying to imagine the best role for herself in a hunting squad.

During the lesson: Skyla learned that specific plant parts do different things, and how only taking certain bits that the pack needs for remedies won't damage the entire plant. This will conserve resources and allow the plant to be used in the future.

During the lesson: Skyla learned how to use the environment to her advantage, to successfully muffle all the sounds she made. Skyla and her littermates were stalking each other, changing their roles from time to time.

During the lesson: Leaves? Rocks? Underbrush? Twisted tree stump? Eroded slope? Skyla learned to use any environment and its features to camouflage successfully.

During the lesson: Chasing birds can be a lot of fun, but it took forever today for any to show up and Skyla ended up being bored. She decided to use a different nesting material for the next lesson.

During the lesson: Heidi II taught Skyla an important lesson about effective running techniques. She was surprised how the depth of breath or change of pace can influence the results.
