His closest friend is Binky, who trusts him regardless of the spats he may have with other pack members. As well as he hides it, Sláine is aware of Aodh's dislike of him. He doesn't care to reconcile any trust with him. While he would like to tell Binky how her mate treats him poorly -- whether that's true or not -- he knows she would not hesitate in confronting Aodh about it, and Sláine could lose her trust.

Binky believes in Sláine, but he wants the utter faith that Aodh has from her. He thinks her mate restricts her in the way he second-guesses her decisions. Binky is the pack leader, not him!

He will argue with a pack member without a second thought, but holds his tongue when it comes to Aodh. Binky's friendship matters more than his jealousy, but he can't deny the boiling temper that rises every time his and Aodh's wires cross. However, he knows his anger will explode eventually.
