Mountain Gust grew up in (you guessed it) the mountains, always happiest making others happy. Instead of striking out on his own early, he preferred to stay with his parents and help raise his younger siblings. When a rogue friend of their pack brought rumors of a young wolf aspiring to form a new pack, Mountain Gust felt intrigued. He'd never brave such a thing himself, but liked the idea of assisting someone else to. His packmate, Night Snow, was eager to join him and together they set out to meet the brave youngster.
It didn't take long for the pair to come across Sun Eyes, looking unsure of himself at the crossroads of a few deer trails. They approached him calmly and introduced themselves. Sun Eyes was happy to have them, and the Sky Wheel Pack officially formed.
Starting out, their ranks were stretched thin. Gust was a hunter for a time, although not a very successful one. When Sun Eyes became ill, he asked his friend to go to the bear healer, Herbert. Of course Gust did, and brought back a cure for the alpha. Meeting Herbert struck a chord with him, and he started visiting the old ursine regularly. One day, Sun Eyes asked if Mountain Gust would like to become the pack's healer. After all, it would be much more convenient—and potentially life saving—to have their own.
Gust readily accepted and over time, learned every herb and mixture he could to protect his pack.
