As the dark pelted wolf opened his eyes, waking from his slumber he looked around realizing he wasn't in SunIce anymore. Filled with curiosity, he stood up and walked through the beautiful, blue and purple forest he woke up in. He could hear some faint talking so he followed the sounds, catching the scent of something sweet, something he didn't recognized. "He'll be here soon, knowing him." He could hear someone say, peaking through a large wall of foliage. "Ah, told you he'd be here soon." There stood two other worldly beings, staring right at him. They were nearly invisible and glowed a light blue, their ears large, similar to the bat Ember often spoke of. One of them had two tails the other had one singular eye. He stared at the two, unable to believe the sight he saw. "My name is Uno and this is my sister Duo." The one eyed being spoke, she was the one talking earlier. "We are here to welcome you into the afterlife." Duo spoke as she walked closer to Achilles, her tails moving side to side, she looked so graceful. "I can't be dead! I have to take care of my pup, Oak asked me to take care of her!" Achilles cried out, almost losing his balance. "No need to worry about Brownie, she has her mate to care for her and when she gets old her pups will care for her." Uno spoke once more, her voice was angelic. "Also, about Oak. She's been waiting for you. She wanted to be here to welcome you but she had other duties to tend to." Duo pushed her sister to the side, stepping in front of Achilles once again. "Now, we must show you around. Follow us." The two beings spoke at the same time, it sent chills down Achilles's spine. "Come now." They walked through a waterfall leading into a large cave with symbols carved into the walls and entryways. "Over there is the nursery." Duo signaled with her tails over to a cave with soft grass and small pups. The two sisters had a sad look on their face. "Over there is the sun pool, it's where all former leaders and herbalists can send messages to the current herbalist and or leader." Uno pointed to a cave with a pool of a purple, water like substance in the middle. "Hm, that's interesting." Achilles stopped to look at the watery substance. "It's always leaders and herbalists?" He asked, turning around and seeing a new being, towering over him. "Sometimes if they're special a normal wolf may send and or receive a message." This being was much larger than Achilles, with to many eyes to count. "Now, Achilles. Go back to Duo and Uno and continue your tour." It growled while pushing Achilles back to where Duo and Uno were, they were laughing. "Iris, be nice. He isn't used to our world quite yet." Duo gave Achilles a pat on the back before they continued the tour. "Now, there is many caves here for wolves to stay in but you'll be staying in this cave." They stopped outside a cave, there was a nice spot to rest and it was very warm. "you'll stay here with your mate." Duo smiled as a smaller wolf that Achilles recognized walked into the cave. "Oak?" Achilles walked over to the she-wolf, touching her nose in a greeting. "I've missed you so much." Achilles sat down and stared at his mate who he hadn't seen in months. "You're just as beautiful as I remember." Achilles looked happy, it had been quite some time since he looked like that. "I'm so happy you're here with me once again." Oak gave Achilles a lick behind his ear, happier than ever before. The two sisters who brought Achilles there snuck away as he spoke to Oak. The two wolves spoke for hours, talking about their memories and when they first met, it was like everyone and everything else disappeared and didn't exist. The world could be burning down but that didn't matter, all that mattered was that they were together again after months of not seeing each other. They were brought back together not by chance but by their love for each other.
