Lore: Hawkstar had tried to be leader when she was young, but she was young and the pack never seemed to listen, so Checkerstorm stepped up as the first original leader of Silverhawk to help her for about 3 years before Hawkstar got the hang of it and Checkerstorm stepped down as leader. Hawkstar was grateful for his help and put him as the first stud to Silverhawk. Though some wolves think that he was only a stud and he wasn't a proper leader, he did technically count as the first actual leader of Silverhawk before he stepped down to become the first stud.
