Fen

Fen was a lone wolf for as long as he could remember. All he can remember from when he was a pup was a she wolf, presumably his mother, stashing him in a hollow and fearfully telling him to stay quiet. He heard several loud bangs. He never saw her or any of his former family ever again.

Always wondering what happened to his family, he wandered the land looking for answers. It began as a journey to find his missing parents but he eventually accepted that they didn't survive. He began a peaceful lifestyle, trying to live in harmony with the plants and animals of the forest, and stay out of the way of other wolves, predators, and humans. He hadn't learned much in the ways of hunting or fighting, but instead learned the secrets of the land to survive.

Greta found him while she was exploring the forest. While Greta wasn't as open as allowing outsiders into the pack as her mother, Ghostmoon was, Fen's charming and kindly nature gave her second thoughts. He also had plenty of experience with which herbs made good healing medicines and nutritious snacks, being on his own for so long and having to take care of himself, so he replaced her older brother as the pack's herbalist after Moss passed. The wise Grizzly Herbert filled in his knowledge on herbs and cures he was not familiar with.

When Fen became the herbalist, he began having dreams of a spirit world.
