Biography
Ashwhisper was Deftmark's first mate, and one of the founding members of the Thornheart pack. She was the mother of their first two children, and loved one another dearly. It seemed as though this pair would be inseparable...
Until one day, she was out hunting, when they were attacked by a group of humans in one of their loud, metal birds. The group tried to run, but Ashwhisper had been injured during the hunt, and could not keep up with the rest of the pack. Deftmark remained by her side, encouraging her to keep moving forward, as the humans closed in.
Then, Ashwhisper felt a piercing pain, as she was stung by some kind of strange, feathered insect. Suddenly, she found herself getting very, very sleepy. And although she did not appear injured, Ash began to stagger, sinking deeper and deeper into the snow. Until she finally collapsed into a deep, inescapable sleep.
Deftmark tried his best to rouse her, but it was no use. While she was still breathing, she did not stir -- no matter how many times Deftmark pressed his nose into her fur, or how many times he called her name. As the humans closed in, Deftmark refused to leave her side -- until he too was struck by the poison insect, and collapsed unconscious beside her.
When Deftmark awoke, his mate was gone. The only thing left of her were her fading footprints, disappearing under the falling slow. Deftmark returned to his pack with a heavy heart to deliver the bad news. That his mate was missing, presumed dead.
While they mourned her loss, the pack knew there was little hope of tracking the humans in their flying machines, and had no choice but to move on. All they could hope for was that her death was quick and painless.
Or perhaps she might manage to escape somehow. Even if it meant having to find herself a new family... in another land, and another pack.

When Ashwhisper wakes, She finds herself in the middle of a forest. at first, she seems to be completely alone other than herself. The silence around her made her shiver, seeing the sun was hanging the highest in the sky, meaning the forest should be bustling with life by now.
the sudden scent of 3 wolves fills Ashwhisper's nose, making her immediately slowly crouch into some nearby bushes. she didnt reconize the new smells . . . so they were wolves she didnt know.
better to be careful. if they don't know i'm here yet maybe i can get back to my own pack . . .
The brown fur of a wolf with . . . . deer antlers? . . . . comes into view, running straight past the female's hiding place. soon after, a male looking like the first, glowing blue eyes tracing the first's trail and a second male with mostly black furr, a white marking over his shoulders and a red mask-like marking over his face, walk by the hiding place, both pausing when they smell Ashwhisper.
"Who's there." The black male growls lowly, stepping closer to the bushes. Now they knew she was there . . . her best bet was to try and not appear as a threat.
. . . . . . maybe they can help her?
slowly, the pale golden female crawls out of the bushes. "I didn't mean to startle you . . ." her head stays down, along with her tail, as well as her body staying low to the ground. "I was taken from my pack and mate . . . and i'm not sure how i ended up here . . . ."
the chocolate brown female steps in front of the red-masked wolf. "are you doing alright, than . . .? are you hungry, or hurt . . .?" she whines this, though she was clearly ready for if Ashwhisper were to try and pounce.
just as the question is asked, Whisper feels her stomach turn. she was starving. when had been the last time she ate . . .? "I . . . I am a bit hungry . . ." she bows her head, her ears pinning to her head. the other female smiles and rubs her nose against Whisper's head gently. "Soil can finish this hunt on his own, lets take you back to the pack, have you meet Stormie and we'll see what we can do to help from there . . ."
~~~~~~~
Ever sense, Whisper has been helping to care for the Storm Chaser Pack's pups, while they waited to try and see if her old pack would come for her . . . .
