No Rest for the Wicked

. Striker roamed the swamp, no set goal in mind of what she was searching for and no expectations of what she might find. The wind blew in her fur, carrying the scents of all sorts of animals the resided within the area.
. One scent caught her attention, a sweet scent... another wolf? Striker followed the scent, hoping that it would be a wolf with great potential.
. A handsome wolf emerged from behind a large tree, a slight snarl permanently fixed to his muzzle. He turned his head with his ears when he heard Striker pass through the under bush.
. "Not interested," he snapped the moment his eyes met hers. Pausing for a moment, Striker continued towards the young wolf with her teeth bared, tail high, and low growl emitting from her throat. The younger wolf stopped in his attempt to walk away from the dark coated wolf. He lowered himself to the ground with his tail under his body and his ears back.
He submitted to Striker and she stood over him.
. "You will be one of my scouts. You will get stronger and better yourself. You are young and have a lot to learn, pup," Striker growled through her teeth. "Follow me."
. Once off the young wolf, Striker started her way back with a new addition to her pack. He sulked on the journey back but only for a short while. He soon realized that this wolf was giving him an opportunity to become stronger for his own gains.
