Rio

Originally from the Forestghosts Pack. Alpha Sveleven picked him up from the Trading Center upon noticing that he could be a good replacement for Aerlo. The pup's a boy, though, so his sex would need to be changed in the future.

--The pup was named Rio because his fur markings looked like the coloration of a Rio Grande cutthroat trout.
--Upon examining Rio, Psia found out that he's related to Alpha Sveleven and Cowhera through Howlthorne.
--Rio was told of what his role in the pack would be, if he wanted to stay. He was apprehensive of having his sex changed, but he didn't want to disappoint Alpha Sveleven.
--When Rio was introduced to the she-wolves of the Red Moon Cave, his soon-to-be teammates, he got along with the Biggus siblings, who were happy to have a playmate of the same age. However, Rio was absolutely taken by Yassydra. She was confident and beautiful, and Rio easily liked her. He followed her around, despite her finding him annoying, until she finally let him stick, declaring that she would raise him herself.
--Seeing Yassydra in her second heat, it was a strange experience. He had seen many she-wolves in heat before, but it felt different with her. Would Yassydra make a good mother?, he wondered. But seeing her mate with Clyve, the Alpha's supposed favorite, he didn't like it. He didn't like that Yassydra had to mate with Clyve, and he didn't like that he was also expected to mate with the older male, too. He wanted to be with Yassydra only and wanted her to belong only to him.
--Alpha Sveleven suddenly realized that she had made a mistake: originally, it was supposed to be Biggus Plumpust succeeding Aerlo, but she took in Rio to also succeed Aerlo. At this point, it was too late to change Rio's training and change his role, or even discard him from the pack (this idea was met with outrage from Yassydra: "You can't just throw him away like he's a bone!" To which Alpha Sveleven replied, "I said I wasn't going to throw him away!") It was too much of a waste for Rio to not become a Chaser. However, there wasn't any vacancies in the other hunting teams. He can't possibly stay in the Red Moon team now. "Why not?", asked Biggus Plumpust. The answer was obviously because Rio's a boy. "Why can't we make an exception for him then?", Yassydra said. "Red Moon is a hunting team of she-wolves; every time we get pregnant, our hunting efficiency goes down. If we want to have enough food to pass the winter and to sell, we should accept him as the first male on Red Moon." That made sense. But Alpha Sveleven would still have to think about it.

--When Rio became an adolescent, Alpha Sveleven asked him on his opinion of being the first male Red Moon Hunter. With this position, it isn't guaranteed that Rio will be taken on the hunting missions, because he'll be treated as a back-up for when one of the she-wolves are pregnant. But to Rio, it didn't matter if he'll only be used as back-up. He's glad that he wouldn't have to be sex changed and that he'll still stay within the pack.

--Now that Rio is an adult, he has become a Hunter of Red Moon. Although, Alpha Sveleven also suggests playing the role of a Pupsitter, since his stats are suitable for it.
--During Yassydra's heat, Rio took advantage of the fact that her body doesn't listen to her properly during her heats and mated her. Yassydra was furious at the aftermath, but she didn't try to do anything to him, unlike Alpha Sveleven, who tried to kill Clyve when they first mated. "You unfilial dog! How could you do this to your foster mother?", is all what she said (read: growled) to him before allowing Rio to take responsibility by becoming her Pairbond. Oh well, at least she was his now..
--Being a backup Chaser, Rio is forced to work with all the hunting teams. Because of his personality and his lack of experience with them, Rio does not get along well with the Hunters from the Laelaps and the Moon Hunter teams. They just tolerate each other.
--With Sterly retiring, Rio is given a spot at the Laelaps hunting team. This makes him a little sour, because he has to change teams, but he's grateful for the opportunity. Actually, he's surprised that Yassydra is the one who complained the most about it.
--Hunting with different teams, and now in Laelaps, has taught Rio to be more charming. His new personality is a little creepy to Yassydra, but she gets used to it after a while.
--Rio becomes the new pack Stud. After Clyve's death, both Rio and Dyna were good contenders to become the next Stud, but Rio was chosen because Dyna has blood relations with many wolves in the pack.
--Upon testing the new arrival, Zhennah, Psia found that he is related to Rio through Howlthorne.
--With Ourora's sudden passing, Rio is given the title of Lead Hunter for Laelaps. Malt should've been the next Lead Hunter, but he is too old.
--Rio retires and gives his position as a Chaser of Laelaps to his son, becoming an Elder. He now lives with his beloved Yassydra. He also assigns Letti to be the next Lead Hunter.
--Rio mourns the death of his Pairbond, Yassydra, by secluding himself in the Lemnos Cave. He won't allow anyone to approach him except for his son, Corae.
