Lunet NBW

Lunet has come from another world. She walks between the dreamlands and this earth as a visionaire who can see with eyes unclouded.
She originated from a pack of wolves of her kind in the dreamlands who sought out power and domination... destroying all the other clans and packs in their wake. Though she was just a pup, the memories of that time still haunt her.

In her adolescence she discovered a way out. In the aftermath of a great battle with her clan's enemy in which they were victorious, she found a pup who had been hiding in the underbrush. He was the heir, and last surviving member of his pack. Her instincts told her something different from what she was taught all her life, and she smuggled him out of their territory. A wise old lunar fox encountered her and gave her wisdom, he spoke of a land alike the dreamlands that exists simultaneously. He said that during particular moments in the lunar cycle, one can traverse the barrier between these worlds. There, the two could escape from the dreamlands and remain hidden from Lunet's vicious pack.

After their escape, Lunet encountered Giaba in the glaciers, on an icy shore. Shivering and anxious, she was unsure at first whether or not to trust the stranger wolf. However, Giaba reassured her, the pack she lead was built on the idea of promising potential, regardless of your background you were welcome, as long as you pulled your weight.

Throughout the years Giaba relied on Lunet to scout the land, give council, and raise puppies. Over time Lunet came to admire Giaba's resilience, being an infertile wolf but still creating such a strong pack. However, one night Giaba confided in Lunet her goals for the pack... to create a powerful pack to dominate the northern territories. Having memories of her family, Lunet warned Giaba of the dangers, not only to the family but to their souls. She told Giaba she would not try to change her mind, for all Giaba had ensured both her and Artax's survival, but if the domination plan were to proceed, Lunet would part ways, taking Artax with her. Giaba accepted Lunet's council, but affirmed that this was her life goal, all she had ever planned for, it was what she had been working towards for years... and she was not going to abandon her plan. Lunet grieved, but understood that her mind could not be changed. The next lunar cycle, she and Artax were to return to the dreamlands from where they came.

However, before the next full moon came, a miracle occured. Giaba disappeared from the pack for some time, and when she returned she had a son. She sought out Lunet, who was preparing to depart, and admitted that she had thought a long time about why she felt so strongly before, and what had changed. Giaba herself was an abandoned pup. She was lucky enough to have been taught to scavenge and hunt small creatures until she became of the age to create her own pack, and to her dismay she was never able to have puppies. Until she stumbled across abandoned naska, a young pup who was alone. Instead of mercifully killing her, Giaba saw potential and decided to create a pack of loners, driven by the need to prove their strength.

But she had realized in the birth of her pup, that there was nothing to prove. They were strong, they were all strong regardless of their birth. Giaba thanked Lunet for telling her the truth when no one else would, and announced her as the new heir to the pack to lead with grace, and peace.

"I entrust my son's future to you" Her last words to Lunet.

Though Lunet has had years working alongside Giaba, and has the gift of sight, she still lives with the fear that the hunger for power will cause devastation.
