Caterpillar was a strong-willed wolf. He left his pack upon maturing as it was growing too large to support all the mouths to feed. He spent his days wandering, looking for a place to hopefully call home. While sipping from a rare puddle in the night desert, a practically glowing wolf approached him. 'Who is this?' He looked at her in awe, her coat was shiny in the moonlight and her necklace was a moving glowing orb of energy. She carried an air of authority. "Hello, I'm Abigail. You might be?" Caterpillar closed his mouth and licked the remaining water on his lips, "Caterpillar." She smiled gently upon hearing his name, it was something he was always teased about. It was a sensitive subject, but her smiled didn't seem to be a mocking one. "I would like you to join my pack Caterpillar." He was a little startled, was it this easy? Being approached and asked? He paused in consideration, "What's the catch?" Abigail shook her pelt and took a few laps from his puddle, "I only want new members, my packs size is shrinking and we haven't had many litters." This felt sad. A shrinking pack? Well, it was different than his large and ever growing pack. "Okay I'll join, on the condition I can hunt for the pack." Abigail nodded happily, "Yes of course!"
