Speck has always been one for exploring, no wolf was surprised he chose the role of a Scout.

Speck had a great time training Ash, with their mentorship quickly becoming a close friendship. The two have a sibling-like relationship and spend a lot of time together.

Mentor: Dust
Speck enjoyed his time with Dust, she was the best mentor he could have asked for. He hopes she is happy in the afterlife.


History

Speck was born to Snow and Mud alongside his brother Silver, with Jet acting as a stud as Mud was infertile. Speck and Silver couldn't have been more different, while Silver was quiet and calm, Speck was adventurous, a troublemaker. He found sitting around in the packs base all day to be so boring and would often sneak off and explore the nearby territory.

As he got older, he calmed down more, but still enjoyed sneaking off and exploring. Jet decided that perhaps there was a good way to put his adventurous nature to good use. Suggesting the adolescent should train under Dust as a scout. Speck loved the work, now being able to go exploring and not getting in trouble for doing so.

Speck was never that close with his brother, but he didn't realize how much he would miss seeing him about once becoming a Scout. At least they were both happy in their roles.

Once an adult, he became the pack's head scout. Dust stepped down and took on the role of the packs Mentor. Speck soon got to train his own apprentice, Ash. While he enjoys Ash's company greatly, he does find himself missing Dust on occasion and takes time out of his day to check in on her.

It wasn't long until Speck and Silver got a new sibling, their parents adopting a young pup. Speck found he had a lot in common with his new sister Rose. He enjoyed taking her out exploring and was a little sad when she chose the role of a hunter, just like Silver had done before her.

Speck never found a mate to call his own, but he also didn't really care. He was content with just having his friends and family. While he didn't have pups of his own, both his siblings did. Speck couldn't think of anything better than being an uncle and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Dust eventually passed; it took Speck a while to come to terms with this fact. He had just over two good years until his father also passed. Now it's just him, his siblings, and his mother. And of course, Ash. Speck knows they are all getting old themselves though, but he refuses to step down from being a Scout. If he has a say, he will be a scout until he dies.

It wasn't long later that his mother passed as well, Speck took a long time to work through his grief. He was grateful his brother chose to take up their mother's former role as mentor, he knows Silver will do just great.

On the 7th year and 6th month of his life, Speck made his way to the mountains summit. Steel and Silver keeping him company through most of the journey. Once at the top, looking out at the endless sky, Speck and Silver were greeted by their parents, Snow and Mud, who gently guided them to the afterlife.
