His Life

Arctic was born with a coat unlike any other, the enchanting fur looked as though he had boreal lights all over him. Turns out, he was given a gift by the Gods according to his mother. His beauty mesmerised the whole pack, members gathered around the nursery just to look at him as if he were a deity. As he aged, blue glowing wisps of fur grew from the tips of his ears, paws and tail. It grew larger and larger until it stopped growing as an adult.

It was difficult of him to capture the attraction of lone wolves, he had many join his pack until he was called a king. However, the larger the pack the harder it was to provide for everyone. He had to do the hardest thing and that was to exile members of the pack that had no role. He met his mate as a gift, he had sights on her from another pack and found her to be captivating as she was very different in appearance compared to him. Her pack leader knew he wanted her to be his mate and saw the good in him. Usually, Arctic got whatever and whoever he wanted because of his appearance but it seemed as though her pack did not care at all, only personality mattered. Aurora was hesitant to leave with him but she warmed up to him eventually and fell in love.

Arctic Fox had many pups with her and with others, much alike his father. They were as beautiful as him although they did not have the same gift, he just simply had good genes, especially with Aurora's genes. When Aurora became his mate, the pack recognised her as Queen, especially when the Gods recognised that as well in which they gifted her an essence to grow glowing wisps of her own. But it did not affect her health in her last years as much as it did on Arctic as he received his gift a lot earlier than her.

Despite all the beauty, powers and grace that he got gifted as a pup, it came at a cost. Such a gift on a mortal is not part of nature and it caused him to get very ill in his final years. His herbalist, Thyme, did all he could to cure Arctic's frequent sickness and tried to improve his immune system but it only helped him briefly. Because of the state of his body and mind, he had to rely on his beta and heir, Corsac Fox, to take care of the pack and lead it. Luckily, Arctic got to be around the presence of the very God that created his bloodline of fox look-alikes.

Vulpecula appeared when Arctic Fox was too weak to lead on his own, to make sure the pack can keep thriving and make sure everything was okay. Arctic was informed that his gift was a mistake as the Gods thought since Arctic's bloodline was already blessed to have such a unique bloodline that he would have been able to handle it. Though the Gods being Gods refused to apologise. Arctic had terms with it, since at least future generations won't inherit the gift.

He did not contribute as much as his predecessors, he mainly lived off of what they had achieved and instead focused on wealth as there was nothing else to build. Life was comfortable for himself and his pack. It was a life well lived and fulfilled despite the poor health he eventually got. Not once did he feel misfortune.
