Frigg (Spirit)

A friendly, gentle wolf-of-few-words, Frigg has an eye for detail that cannot be matched. In the early days of Nightwood, she took to watching the swiftly arriving newborn pups and continued to do so until her passing.

The unexpected accidental death of Lady Selene's heir, Kala, shook her to her core, as Frigg had never lost a pup under her care before. She never understood how it could have happened, having warned Kala of the dangers of wandering too close to the cliff's edge many, many times.

AFTER DEATH

Frigg died an elder, happy and safe in her den. Her spirit has become a symbol of motherhood, mercy, and a guardian of pups. Young mothers in Nightwood often beseech her spirit to protect their weak or sickly children.

MENA

Frigg's closest friend, Mena, passed away of old age not long after Frigg herself. A skilled and well-traveled scout, Mena's spirit has become a guardian of lost wolves and wanderers. It's not uncommon for her descendants to catch glimpses of her spirit if they get turned around in unfamiliar territory, and many a visiting traveler has described a gray she-wolf who guided them to safety.
