Alderthorn was found alongside one of his oldest friends, Moonhawk, by Crowfern. Crowfern was scouting the forest for Asterwillow looking for lost souls willing to join the pack. The two older wolves were finally happy to have met somebody. They had just been abandoned by their former leader, she had gone insane. They never believed in her ways of living so she left them behind, taking the whole pack in the night. When they awoke the next morning they were devastated, come to find their cave abandoned. They set off and walked for days searching for somebody, that's when they ran into Crowfern. He was happy to lead them to the safety of Oak Hollow where their new leader would be waiting. When they arrived it was like a whole new world enclosed in the forest, a big empty space with a large oak tree, a place like they've never seen before. And to make the day even better later in the evening Crowfern had come back with a few companions from their previous pack. They had come looking for them! For the first time in a long time, he had peace.
