Lapis enjoyed her role as a chaser. But, now getting older, she enjoys the simpler life of mentoring pups.

Lapis and Silver have always been close. Lapis finds Silver's observations on pack life and wolves' roles and relationships to be rather interesting.

History

Lapis was born in The White Storm pack alongside her sister Heartly, to Achlys and Frey. She didn't stay with the pack long, however. Prey began to run short, and a sickness spread through the pack. It was decided to save the young pups they would send them to another pack, a safer one. It didn't take long to find Heartly a home, however, the pack only had room for one pup. Lapis bid farewell to her sister, hoping she would find a pack of her own.

The wolves ended up finding their way to The Pack of Soaring Summit. Jet was more than happy to offer Lapis a home. Lapis was… uncertain at first, watching anxiously as her parents left her in the paws of a strange pack. She found it wasn't so bad after a while though. She wasn't the only pup there, Jets three sons were a bit older than Lapis, and two of the other wolves had adopted a younger pup a few days prior.

It didn't take long for Lapis to get comfortable in her new home and boy when she did… Lapis had always enjoyed playing pranks and practical jokes and was happy to see her new packmates found them amusing. Well… all of them but Fire found them amusing. Lapis enjoyed teasing Fire, he always fell for her pranks and got so flustered.

Once an adolescent, it was time for Lapis to begin training for her future role. In all honesty, Lapis didn't care much for what she did. She mainly chose the role of a chaser because the pack needed one. It was fun enough, spending time with her packmates was nice and Fire was on her team which made it even more enjoyable. She was very good at the role and followed the team's lead nicely. She did however get in trouble on occasion for pulling pranks in the middle of hunts. Time seemed to fly by and next she knew; she was an adult and a full-fledged member of the hunting team.

Lapis had always liked Fire; it wasn't exactly something she hid. Anyone could see from the way she loved to tease him and follow him around, the way she talked about him… she was smitten. When she was young, she was happy to wait to see if he felt the same way. To be fair, she knew he did. Fire had a very easy face to read. Plus, he never got mad at her pranks, even if he pretended to be. In fact, if you paid attention, you could see the small smile and blush on his face whenever she managed to pull off a good trick.

As Lapis got older however… she got impatient. She had thought Fire would have admitted his feeling by now, guess she would have to do it herself. She was pleasantly surprised when Fire beat her to it, confessing to her in a very awkward but cute way. Not much changed about their relationship after officially becoming mates, besides the talk of starting a family. The two were thrilled when Lapis managed to get pregnant. Fire's brother, Charcoal also announced he and his mate were expecting. Lapis was happy to know her pups would grow up beside their cousins.

Fire and Lapis ended up having a litter of three, two boys and a girl. Lapis adored them all, feeling a bloom in her chest by how much her baby girl looked like her. After they were weaned, she went back to hunting. She trusted the pupsitters to look after her babies. She was grateful no one mentioned how she always rushed home at the end of a hunt.

Lapis's pups are all grown up now, two choosing the role of hunters and one that of an herbalist. She is so impressed to see how her pups have grown and how skillful they are in their own jobs. Lapis is older now, but she still enjoys a good prank from time to time. She knows her pack depends on her to keep things lively.

After her mate, Fire passed. Lapis decided to retire from hunting and take on the role as the pack's mentor. Lapis enjoys the more relaxing life of training pups and is happy to help train the future generation.

On the 7th year and 6th month of her life, Lapis made her way to the mountains summit. Steel keeping her company through most of the journey. Once at the top, looking out at the endless sky, Lapis was greeted by her mate, Fire, who gently guided her to the afterlife.
