Smoke was born into a pack from from where he now resides. He always struggled to keep up with his stronger siblings. His parents were especially strict, demanding much from their cubs. Smoke tried to get his parents' approval, but his father especially was unkind. No matter what progress he made, it was never enough. Once he was an adult, he finally realized he would never be good enough for his father. It was time to set out on his own. Smoke travelled far, searching for territory which was not already claimed. Along the way, he found Arctic Wind, a beautiful she-wolf. Smoke asked her to join him on his journey, and she agreed. Exhausted from their travels, the weary wolves finally found a land without a resident pack. They would soon discover that no pack had settled in the rich territory because the Fae King, Corgi le Fay, ruled over it and acted as warden of the land. Due to the threat wolves posed the Fae King's beloved pack of corgis, they had previously driven out all would-be-packs. However, when the Fae King looked upon Arctic Wind and saw her markings, they were moved to strike a deal with the tired pair. So long as none of the pack wolves ever harmed the Fae King's corgis, they would be allowed to live there. Grateful for the lush territory, Smoke and Arctic Wind thanked the Fae King by asking to be renamed and by naming their pack Faerie Pack, in honor of the Fae King. Smoke was renamed Llynweth, and Arctic Wind was renamed Kethlyn.
