Echo stands out like a sore thumb amongst her pack members. While most of Serpent's Keep bears dark, muted tones, Echo sports a bright orange pelt. Where other pack members might be more quiet or reserved, Echo is loud and boisterous. In fact, she is often mistaken for the King or the Knight of Serpent's Keep. Especially while out hunting with the Elkguard hunting party, it's easy to believe she calls the shots instead of the quieter November.
Echo lived in the mountains before Wicker and November ever set paw here. She lived on her own, a peaceful but rather lonely existence where she spent her time honing her skills on any prey-shaped animals that moved. She struggles to make positive connections with others, often coming off as annoying, overbearing, or argumentative. However, when her new neighbors moved in, it was her stubborn tenacity that eventually led to a friendship to bloom between them. Once you look past her prickly exterior, you have an intensely loyal friend with a unique charm and an outstanding sense of humor. She nestled herself amongst the founding duo of Serpent's Keep and made herself invaluable for the budding pack.
When her and November became the primary hunters, they were clumsy and struggled to work together. Prey was scarce, but no one let it get to them. After all, it was the warm days of summer and they had two seasons ahead of them to hone their skills by winter. Little did they know that by the time the cold winds blew in and covered the land in dazzling snow that Serpent's Keep would grow exponentially. November and Echo together successfully assembled and trained the hunting group that would come to be known as Elkguard, the elite hunting party of Serpent's Keep. Within the pack, hunters hold the most prestigious and honorable positions as the wolves who put themselves directly in harm's way for the survival of all others. Echo embodies this, and clearly enjoys the reputation. Now, the young members of the pack all look up to her, and she's one of the most respected members despite her disposition. She revels in the glory and gladly devotes her life to hunting for and defending the pack.
