Gen 3 handsome Mela carrier with special base for stud! Only 1 or 200 https://www.wolvden.com/wolf/1844886
The blue-ish male awoke with a start, body trembling and shaking violently. He scrambled to his paws, the sound of destruction and frightened yelps flooding his fluffy ears. Darting out of his den, his olive eyes finding that he was not the only wolf from his pack experiencing the earth beneath him. Adrenaline raced through his veins as he tried to move his pack to safety, barking orders to the able-bodied wolves while assisting the slower elders and uncoordinated pups. Panting as he looked over the worried group of wolves, he started his head count as another tremor started up.
A frightened yelp tore his attention back to the abandoned den center, eyes spotting a fluffy brown lump that swayed, fell, and struggled to get up, over and over again. One of the pups from the packs most recent litter hadn't been grabbed in the panic, barely older than fourteen suns. Running back with unstable legs, he latched onto the pup's scruff as swiftly as he could. That was when he heard caught the sound of several loud snaps and cracks as the ground beneath him seemed to slope suddenly. The pup in his jaws whimpered and squirmed as he struggled to return to his anxious pack, the mob continuing to back up further. Within seconds he felt the earth beneath his paws give way. Muttering a silent apology to the pup in his grasp, he lowered his head and flicked it up, launching the pup into the air. He barely saw the pup landing against a hunter's side before the earth swallowed him whole and everything went dark.
Groaning in pain, the male forced his eyes open, body throbbing in pain as he looked around. The hole he landed in seemed far larger than he would have expected, blue lights dusted across the cold stone walls. Dragging himself to his feet, he winced as he stumbled, pain shooting down his hind leg. Glancing back, he huffed at the sight of red tinging the dull blue fur. "Great." He hissed sarcastically, another thing to complicate him being lost far beneath the grass. Sucking down a deep breath, he started forward on what he could only assume to be a path.
The faint clicking of his claws were the only noise that filled the air, rhythm thrown off by the slight limp. Luckily for him, the glowing fuzz seemed to continue down the path he had chosen, illuminating the stones and divots he needed to pay attention to. The tunnel seemed to go on forever, growing weary as his leg began to protest more. His head began to droop in his fatigue, perhaps he should just sit down, rest his tender body for a while. As quickly as the thoughts came, he shook his head, refusing to remain stuck away from his pack. Continue forward he did, tuning into the tap, tap, tap of his steps. That was at least, until a new sound joined his. A distant babble of water filled his furry ears as he perked up, eyes locked down the tunnel as if he could see the source of the noise.
He hurried forward as much as he could manage, finding the tunnel opened up to a sight to behold. His mouth parted as he took in the scenery. Every wall was painted in the blue dust that was guiding him, thicker and brighter the higher it went up. The top of the cave met in a fine point, enough air space to grow several trees in the cavern. Blue, leaf coated vined snaked their ways down the wall, peeking out from various ledges near the roof of the cave, sprouting flowers and small fruits. Where the walls met the floor, numerous den shaped holes were carved from the stone, each appearing to come to a dead end far enough away. From one of the holes came the reason he rushed forward, a simple stead stream, creeping across the width of the cave before collecting in a ditch.
"Wow." He managed through his bewilderment, tail wagging slightly. A place like this would be perfect for his pack, keep them far from the eyes of other wolves who always seemed to have an issue with the group. If he could find a way out, he'd just have to convince every wolf to come take a look at the marvel he found. Glancing around, he found the direction that wind seemed to be flowing from, rustling his scruffy pelt. Ducking down, he worked his way through the narrower passage. Rounding a corner, he was pleased to be greeted with blinding light of the sun. Squinting, he felt his soft pads press into plush grass as he finally surfaced.
Lifting his head in the air, he caught the scent of his packmates and released a deep howl. A series of howls and barks was the response he earned, plopping down on his fur covered hindquarters to rest while he waited for his pack to find him. Green eyes roaming over the surroundings, he noted to himself; the cave entrance wasn't far from the boarder of his pack, just barely far enough that he hadn't seen it on patrols or hunts. He couldn't help but wonder if maybe the pack's founder had encountered the system of caves before she returned to the stars. He waited as the falling sun inched further and further towards the ground, hiding itself behind the thick trees when his pack finally reached him.
A concerned bark came from a fiery female as she laid eyes on his figure. "Kitchi! You're hurt!" She helped, pushing forward. "Why didn't you say?" He shook his head as she attempted to examine the wound. "That can wait till later. First, I've got to show everyone what I found." Gesturing over his shoulder, he started back down the tunnel, grinning at the gasps and awes of the pups as the walls illuminated with a soft blue glow. Stepping to the side, he let the pack explore the new land.
Standing as tall as he could manage, he spoke confidently. "Due to the events of today and the past, this will be the new den of the Song Weaver pack. Once everyone is settled, I wish to gather all travel worthy wolves to discuss our bright future." With that the wolves dispersed, exploring and feeling out their new home. The female returned to his side with a huff. "Will you let me treat you now? I barely managed to salvage any of my herbs when the earth shook." He couldn't help but smile at the familiar face, giving into the female's demands. "Have at it, Nakuset."
Within a few days, the lead was able to use his leg without pain, keeping a fresh leaf glued over the old wound to ensure it healed correctly. Grabbing the strongest wolves of the pack, they returned to the surface to discuss plans to make the entrance more obscure and easier to overlook. They broke into pairs first, pushing two large stones into place on either side of the opening, scraping grass and leaves over the marks it left. The next step, the four worked together, charging into the side of a long dead tree until it broke form the base and landed neatly between the rocks. Finally came bush pieces, shoved into the ground to conceal the short opening around the log. Soon, the herbalist assured, the branches would sprout into full bushes, consuming the rock and tree in its leafy wall.
"Now that's done, let's see what we can salvage from the dens." He turned to the other three before starting off, leading them. If they were to live in their new home, they'd need plenty of supplies, least of which being bedding to keep them warm against the cold floors of stone.
