Pack Years 8-10

Though older than some might deem wise when he took up the mantle, his years under Luna's leadership, and his time as a scout, made him pay close attention to the needs of the pack. More energetic than his years would let on, he pushed himself to fight for the pack, their home, and as a way to continually prove himself to his wolves.
As the pack's stud, he held a soft spot for the puppies born into it, both his and not. Many of the pups would turn to him when bearing bruises or scrapes, and he would commend them on their strength or smarts or speed, quizzing them on the grand tale of how they came by such an injury.
Swift pawed, strong as a bear, Hawthorne maintained a helpful heart to the wolves who both came to his pack, seeking a home, and those who left it with warm well wishes at their backs.
