Ichi took over Arcane's guardianship of the bone piles shortly after their passing. Arcane's quiet acceptance of Ichi helped him to feel welcomed to Snow Hearts in a way no one's tail wag or howls could. Ichi was not quite two years of age when he did this, much to Pierce's relief; Pierce was not quite an adult yet.
