Lore: Dyddanwy was, unfortunately, something of an insufferable pup. Loud, rude, selfish, and arrogant, she truly didn't make for a popular child. Even her own siblings were eager to distance themselves from her. Juggled between the adults like a snake with a rattle, she eventually found herself dropped into the paws of Hiraeth - a travelling wolf who was staying with the pack. Hiraeth attempted to instil some values into the pup with some good old, tried and true fables and tales that she'd picked up over her travels. Her efforts were in vain, however - indeed, they seemed to have the inverse effect. Dyddanwy was nothing like the ill-fated wolves from her stories, she didn't need to change. She was different. And she would prove it, too. As Hiraeth took her leave from the pack, Dyddanwy snuck away from her distracted sitter and took her first, bold steps out of Pont-y-Rhedyn's territory - eager to prove herself to be the most brave and most daring wolf the valley's ever seen.

Lore: Dyddanwy's misadventures eventually brought her to the desert. Although any other wolf might have been worried on how to survive in the harsh environment, she sure wasn't. Eventually, she ran into the Kohana Pack's ill-tempered scout, Saskia, who brought her back to the pack grounds. While Dyddanwy was there, she certainly wasn't anyone's favorite, although the wolves were relatively kind to her. Eventually, getting fed up with her lack of contribution, the pack's alpha Kuparr informed her she must help the hunters, or face eviction. Despite the fact she didn't want to, she found herself shadowing alongside one of the pack's stalkers, Kuroda. Dyddanwy and Kuroda were somewhat similar; both of them were unfriendly. The two became good friends, and often talked. One particular day, Dyddanwy had suggested that Kuroda skip his hunting duties and explore the territory with her. But he declined, insisting that some things must be done for the betterment of the pack. The words tugged on something inside of her, and the stories Hiraeth had told her began to nag her once again, and she fought them off. The next morning, when it was time to hunt, Kuroda couldn't find her. The only thing he had found was a bird egg, with a scratched piece of bark that simply said, "Goodbye." That morning, Dyddanwy had left, not wanting to even consider changing her ways.

Lore: Despite the scent being rather stale, it was no doubt her sister's. Dyddanwy had been following this trail for a while. She knew there was no hope of finding Addfwyn, the scent showed she was long gone by now, but there was not much else to do in the deserted plains of the Tundra. It was awfully dull here. Thankfully, a wolf with a fiery-ish pelt found her not much later. Dyddanwy was skeptical when she decided to follow him, but Wildfire, she learned his name was, claimed to be part of the Northward Shores, a pack who happily took in travellers. She was not one to refuse free hospitality with little cost. The pack members asked nothing of her while she was there. Dyddanwy basked in the generosity. Not do a single thing? She was not one to complain. It was a nice break, anyways. She would be back up and wandering before she knew it. Dyddanwy may as well take advantage of the rest.

Lore: Winter was far harsher than Dyddanwy ever expected. Before she had the protection of the pack to help her in her youth, the elders passing down their knowledge to help keep everyone alive. Now she was on her own and for the first time realized what it would mean to be so self reliant. There was no one for her to turn to, to beg for help. Even as her paws froze and icicles formed along her fur, she had to hunt and find water. In trying (and failing) to hunt a small rabbit, Dyddanwy stumbled across a strange looking item. It smelled of something good though, and after some investigation she discovered that a small flap opened up to reveal a pouch! Just her fortune too, for it held some food that she eagerly scarfed down. The funny pouch seemed like a stroke of good luck, so Dyddanwy decided to loop it around her body and keep it for the future. Who knew, it might come to help her again down the road.

Lame, she initially thought, until she realized she could instill her values into the pup. Dyddanwy taught the liver-coated, red-eyed pup how to do things like trick a packmate into checking a stream for fallen prey before splashing them in the face, and other such tricks. The pup passed on such knowledge to their pup-set, thereby indirectly relieving Dyddanwy from pupsitting duty. Huh, cool. she thought. The Snow Hearts started avoiding her actively such that she was able to continue her journey with little difficulty...

Lore: Dyddanwy stumbled across a camouflaged male wolf who introduced himself as Adalard the Alpha of the Riva Glade pack. "Your welcome to stay with us for awhile." After a few days of observing the newest guest, Adalard came up to Dyddanwy and narrowed his eyes glancing at her. "Why don't you join one of my hunting teams? We need every helping paw. You could at least learn how to hunt if you really want to be independent."
Dyddanwy's ears pinned flat against her head. How dare anyone tell her to do some work. She seethed then her eyes blinked in shock at hearing the compromise. At least learn how to hunt to be more independent she thought and an image of that failed rabbit hunt flashed through her mind so she very reluctantly agreed to Adalard's suggestion.

Lore: Dyddanwy returned home, for a brief time. Few packs were willing to host travellers during the winter, and the harsh weather made going it alone untenable. The pack had changed a lot since she'd left. All of the elders, her mother included, had long since passed, leaving behind a slew of younger wolves few which were familiar. Hell, she didn't even recognise the young new leader at all. It was no small comfort, then, to be met with her sister Addfwyn. Eager to make trouble like they used to, Dyddanwy wasted no time in returning to her old ways, interrupting the day-to-day activities of the pack and harrassing its members. Attempting to goad her sister into joining her, she was only met with a cold shoulder as Addfwyn instead focused on leading the hunters. After a few weeks of Dyddanwy's incessant troublemaking and snide remarks, Addwyn finally snapped;
"You're no longer a pup, Dyddanwy. Have you truly changed so little?"
Wounded by her sister's words - a wolf who, in her mind, was no better than her - Dyddanwy fled the valley, returning to her journey once more.
