7th Generation, Clean Lineage
... Aknai is the second alpha after Dane, who founded and grew the pack. Though she wasn't borne from him and his mate, she proudly takes the place and looks over her pack with a stern eye and a heavy paw. Enforcing the rules, yet holding a soft spot for her pups and mate.
... As much as she'd like to put her son as the next leader, she doesn't think he'd be able to handle the pressure it puts on you as alpha. The need to make sure everyone is safe, coordinated, food gets gathered and enemies kept at bay.. even she struggles at times.

... The day her mate passed away determined the day she was to retire. Her heartache was too great and couldn't see herself being as strong a leader as she needed to be. Quietly, she chose Chestnut to continue her pack's legacy. Though not her direct blood, she can see his potential.
... She said her goodbyes to her children, Damien and Atta, and even to her son's mate before walking out one sikent night. Giving a solemn nod to her children and Chestnut before she turned and walked out of the camp. Looking for a safe, calm place to rest, so she may see her beloved Jet once more.
