Foster son of Varo
"Handsome charmer of the pack… never wants to settle in one place or with one wolf!" Such were the famous words from Varo, Korin's predecessor and mentor. Korin was found wandering the meadows not far from the pack's forest home as an adolescent. When Varo asked the young wolf what he was doing there, Korin's reply was that he did not know. He had heard welcoming whispers calling him to the forest, but sensed a pack and was uncertain how to approach. Originally, many of the pack suspected he was like Serrodara, called there by one of the gods. Varo, in his old age, lovingly remarked, "If the boy was sent by the gods, he was sent by Zarah at best or her brother Dre'Dajo at worst. I suspect the latter, for he will be the death of me and I am a fool for ever taking him in." He meant it in jest, for the old wolf practically raised Korin as a son. Korin too would later remark Varo was always a father to him, despite their constant teasing of each other. It was just their dynamic.
