Biography
Bloodred, even in death.
"Lilliputia was too eager while feasting last night. She swallowed a sharp bone and ended up choking. No one was able to save her, and she unfortunately passed away."
Cadela curled her body around that of the tiniest pup in the litter. Her brilliant red coat seemed already dull. It was excruciating, knowing she had been suffocating. And yet not even she, the mother, the herbalist and healer of the pack, could save her from this fate. The wind seemed bitter and sharp against her pale fluff, somehow alive.
In turn, each pack member came close to offer their condolences. They had all hoped she would make it, despite the odds. Blu, the more experienced pupsitter and the one that had been in charge of Lilliputia, lay beside Cadela for a long while. At first, she closed her eyes, touching her nose to the older mother's fur, repeating her apology.
"I am deeply sorry, Cadela. I should have kept a better eye on her." The younger wolf looked at the herbalist, profound pain shining in her eyes. "It's horribly unfair. Horribly painful. I'm sorry."
