Lore: I delve deep into a Deciduous Forest. The stars were glittering through the canopy. Up ahead, I spotted a clearing upon a tall hill. As I cleared the tree line, a gasp of awe escaped me. Strewn about the clearing was a new pack. Each wolf was coated in a multitude of colors. Some red, some green, some blue. There were even some yellow and many colors in between. Their fur seemed to glitter and wisps of light fluttered nearby, as if these wolves were made of the heavens themselves. A massive she-wolf stands. Dark with bright streaks of yellow, green and red. A mahogany shawl is draped upon her shoulders.
"Welcome, Traveler." She greets with a warm, but strong voice.
She allows me to stay for a short while, only 4 days. But I'll take what I can get! :3
Three other travelers are also present in the pack. All of the pack duties are in no need of extra paws so I pass the time by sorting the hoard and grooming pups, and performing other tasks that may need to be done. I feel my anxiety start to rise. I hope I'm doing enough for them. However, while sorting, Whispering Flame graciously thanks me for my contributions and gives me a Valley Oak decoration to keep. She tells me I'm being a great help with tasks that normally wouldn't get done in the busy life of the pack. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in my chest. I also pass on my tales from my travels, much to the amusing awe of the pups. They're so rambunctious, I sometimes worry they're gonna hurt themselves, but all's well that ends well I guess. Though my anxiety about got the best of me a few times, these past four days, I've had a blast with this pack. But it's time to move on to the next leg of my travels, wherever that may lead.

Lore: Choc was found by Frostwalker wandering the icy north where his pack made their home. Since the leader looked more bear than wolf, he tried at first to run away unseen. His dark coat stuck out like sore paw, standing out very noticeably against the white snow. Frostwalker easily caught up, calling out to the traveler to wait and that he simply wanted to talk. Choc turned to face the wolf-bear, poised to run at the slightest hint of aggression. Frostwalker kept his distance and gently asked why he was wandering inside of his pack's territory and so very near their home. Choc meekly explained that he was a wanderer, going from pack to pack with no clear direction. Frostwalker perked up at his words, quickly offering shelter and food and saying that Choc was not the first wanderer that the Glenwood pack had taken in. Still rather wary, Choc followed Frostwalker at a distance until they arrived at the leader's home. Choc almost didn't see it at first, the snow-packed walls blended in well with the surrounding land. Choc was ushered inside, marveling at how much warmer he was now that he was out of the biting winds.
Frostwalker went on ahead, a few wolves running up to greet their leader and inspect the newcomer. Choc noticed with a twinge of fear that very few of these alleged wolves, well, looked like wolves. Feathers, wings, horns, too large teeth, bat like ears, and even eyes that glowed like the stars in the sky. He shrunk down, eyes on the floor and tail tucked in fear of these strange creatures, simply too odd to be called wolves. Taking notice, Frostwalker ushered the crowd away, asking them to give Choc space. Frostwalker led him over to the pack's hoard, letting him eat all he wanted and play with a few of the many toys scattered around the clearing. As night fell the temperature continued to drop, even inside the protective walls. Frostwalker asked that he stay the night, saying that he can't in good conscience let him brave the cold of night alone. Not seeing many other options, Choc agreed.
On the way to the visitor's den, Choc noticed some wolves carrying some stones into camp. Feeling a little braver on a full stomach, he asked Frostwalker what they were for. Frostwalker explained that they were warmed up in the nearby hotsprings and placed in the dens to help keep them warm throughout the cold nights. He went on to say that most of the wolves in the pack are comfortable enough with each other that they usually just sleep in piles, but he figured Choc wouldn't be so willing. The inner walls of the camp, being made of woven together plant matter, usually do enough to keep in the warmth, but most still find the stones nice to curl up near. Choc thanked the leader and followed him into the den he was shown. There weren't many wolves in there, only two that Choc could see. Each seemed content to keep to themselves, each curled in a nest with a few warm stones. Frostwalker wished them all a good night and said that they were all free to grab a pelt or two from the hoard if needed to fend off the cold before leaving for his own den. After making polite small talk with his den-mates, Choc curled up in his chosen nest. Warm and with a full belly, he decided that maybe these strange wolves weren't so bad after all.
