Biography
The wolf let out a deep breath as he finally reached the top of the peak, a adolescent trailing after him.
"Do we..." the adolescent panted, dropping to her paws, "Do we really have to come here?"
The wolf glanced back at the younger one, a serious expression painted on his face.
"Rivka. If you are to lead a pack, you must learn how to overcome obstacles like these. You must learn how to make hard choices." the wolf paused, turning his gaze back to the horizon. "You will have to lead your wolves through the coldest of times, the hot summers. Not everything can be handed to you like a pup."
Rivka padded up to her father, raising her head to look at the horizon as fog began to slightly mist the clearing
"I won't let you down, father." Rivka breathed softly, drinking in the last scent of her father as he began to fade.
--------------------------
Rivka woke with a start, blinking around her den as snow fell outside.
A dream... She thought, rising to her paws as she trotted outside.
Today, she would start her own pack, make her father proud as she once promised.
