Biography
Being one of the oldest members of the pack, Hawk's Flame often takes on a fatherly role towards younger wolves. He's incredibly patient, kind-hearted and strong-willed and is often admired by not only the youngsters but also his similar-aged packmembers.
He came from the same pack as Summer Solstice and Owl Fever did, this old origin pack had been chased off their old territory and promptly had broken off into smaller groups.
His goal from the start was the reunite the old pack together but when the two young and unexperienced wolves he stayed with started settling down and began forming plans for a new pack, he decided to stay with them to ensure their safety.
And ultimately he's glad he did, Summer Solstice, although confident and ambitious had the brains of a trampled Prairie dog and Owl Fever although she was definitely smarter, still lacked basic survival skills. He's sure that these two wouldn't have lasted a day if it wasn't for his help.
When the pack started growing in numbers he found love, Morning Dew, she had helped him recover from a serious injury he got in a failed hunt, and although this event almost killed him he still believes that this was the best thing to happen to him.
After this experience though, he noticed that something had also changed between him and Moon Dancer. Hawk believed that the hunt was a failure because of Moon Dancer's choice of target, a large stag deer, although yes at the time Hawk had agreed to do the hunt, in hindsight the members of the hunting party weren't experienced enough to take down this beast. But that was that, he didn't blame Moon Dancer for his injuries.
Moon Dancer visibly started to resent him though, the fact that he didn't speak to anyone also made Hawk's anxiety grow whenever he was around him. Whenever Hawk tried talking to him, Moon Dancer would just glare at him, unmoving and unblinking.
Maybe it was paranoia but Hawk could swear that Moon Dancer would purposely choose harder to kill prey whenever tensions grew between the two.
The tensions between them even spread to their individual families, sometimes fights would break out for reasons that either of them didn't know about. This was out of character for him, hell, even for Moon Dancer this was strange behavior.. But they just, couldn't help it. It was almost as if something in their own blood was telling them that the other one was dangerous, something to fear.
Only time can tell if their instincts are right.
