Birth Certificate
Birth Date: Aug 21 (Winter)
Mother: Ashbreeze

Falcontail was a reliable little boy who was fascinated by the tales he heard at storytime. He couldn't hear enough about the Ancestors who lived long ago, the cryptids who secretly roamed the lands, and the history that shaped the Pack's life today. Each midday before naptime and each evening before bedtime, he would sit riveted listening to the pupsitters tell stories. If his brother Redflash interrupted by misbehaving, he would get very upset and shout and scold until order was restored and the stories continued. Like his mother Ashbreeze, Falcon was prone to running away, but not for the same reasons. He explained to his pupsitter Graywing that he was just looking for cryptids. Sometimes, on nights when he couldn't sleep, Gray would take him into the woods to sniff around for a few minutes, just to settle him down. These little outings alone helped the two of them grow close and Falcon was Gray's favorite pup. During playtime, Gray noticed that Falcon was a great Tag player. When he played the "cougar", he would often herd the other pups into cul-de-sacs in order to corner and tag them. This talent made Gray decide that Falcon would be an excellent chaser when he grew up.
At the Academy, Falcon was an excellent student. He listened, participated, and did as he was told. Even when other pups were acting up, Falcon stayed calm and waited for the trouble to pass. However, it was outside of class where he became a nuisance. Freed from nursery storytime with his naughty brother, Falcon would pester his elders for stories whenever he had some free time. Gray indulged him, but the other adults began to consider him an annoyance. Hoping to get past this, Gray secretly consulted with Alpha Dawnbreeze, who agreed to press the entire pack into service for one day. The day after Falcon and the other pups graduated from the Academy, the pack gathered in the Grand Den and told every story they knew. It was the best day of Falcon's life!
During his apprenticeship, Falcon went from being a story-listener to a story-teller. Every day when the hunting party returned home from the trail, it was Falcon who made sure everyone heard all the exciting details of the hunt. Alpha Dawnbreeze praised him for his excellent reports and called him her eyes and ears. Falcon's uncle Bloodfeather was the head of the hunting team and was traditionally the one to give reports, but he never resented Falcon's usurping of this duty. In fact, Blood enjoyed Falcon's narrations as much as anyone. Falcon's enthusiasm didn't fail while out on the trail either. He was energetic without getting in the way, calm without falling behind. Even when things got scary, he listened and followed commands admirably. He seemed to be a natural chaser and his elders appreciated his good work.
On his first birthday, Falcon's love of stories was in overdrive. After one fermented barley, he started talking about everyone's embarrassing puppyhood shenanigans. After a few more drinks, he almost started a fight and his old pupsitter Graywing had to pull him aside and tell him that discretion was the better part of valor.
Now as an adult, Falcon has become the lore-keeper of the Pack. No one knows more about the Pack's history and culture than he does. Not only is he the dedicated report giver when the hunting team returns home, but he's also taken over storytime with the puppies. He has no time for drinking fermented barley, and he's been told he's an obnoxious drunk anyway. Instead, he spends his evenings developing a system of pictograms with which to record the Pack's stories for future generations. He believes that if he can complete it, then no story will ever be lost.
