🌙 — Dawn

Dawn had been born, surprisingly, in the tundra. Many would expect perhaps a desert wolf, or even the prairie, considering her beautiful fur color. But she'd been born in the tundra. That was part of the reason she'd arrived here at all. It'd been a frigid winter. No matter how much fluff a wolf had, they would be shivering by the time they returned with a kill. Dawn had been young at the time, but with a pelt like hers, she knew she couldn't withstand such conditions. She'd been a target for death many a time, and she would not let it happen again. So, she left. Here, she stumbled upon Phoenix's pack, deep in the heart of a taiga. It was next year's winter by that point, and she'd given herself to another pack already, and mothered pups. But she still wasn't happy there; the summers were hotter than she was used to, and she'd grown so used to flat hunting grounds that she'd nearly run into a tree every time she'd attempt to bring down a deer. Her old pack's leader would frown whenever her party failed to return with something. Phoenix, however, seemed enchanted by the pretty wolf. She asked Dawn if she'd been claimed, and Dawn gave her the details. Phoenix gave a brief nod, and what Dawn thought was a friendly smile crept along the leader's face. She invited her to join Phoenix's pack: The Blaze. It was an odd name for a taiga-dwelling pack, but Dawn wasn't about to reject such an offer. Here, she finally found her place. But something unexpected came over her. Her paws itched to travel. Phoenix mentioned in passing that the pack had lived in the deciduous woods since its conception, only moving when the elk had begun to move farther and farther north. Phoenix was getting on in years, and clearly, they wouldn't be moving again simply for Dawn's sake. So, she's decided that she will travel by herself. She wants to see what every pack has to offer, before Dawn's inevitable promotion to leader of the pack.
