Biography
Bred by user Dust
Kaella was known in Data Pack as the swiftest chaser, able to run down any prey to exhaustion. There were none who could match her speed, no matter how hard they tried. She was young, and knew that when she went into heat she would need to seek out a suitable wolf to sire her pups. Luckily, an allied pack of hers, Mare Stellaris, was known for having a stud wolf that was renowned for being fleet of foot.
She traveled to the grasslands, where Mare Stellaris slept under the wide open sky every night. Kaella had never seen such a massive sky filled with stars. Her home was the mountains, nestled in warm caves at night, but hidden away from the night sky. It almost took her breath away at the sight of the endless sparkling night.
Once Kaella arrived at Mare Stellaris's dens, she padded quietly up to Oberon, and bowed her head in respect. "Oberon, I have heard far and wide that you are as swift as the wind and nimble as a butterfly. I would ask of you to sire my first litter of pups that they might inherit your speed."
Oberon looked at her quizzically. "You are from Data Pack, correct? One of our dear allies."
"Yes, that is correct. I traveled here to ensure my pups will be the strongest possible, that they will survive and thrive in these lands." She responded, lifting her head to look at him.
"Then of course. I would be honored to sire your pups." Oberon said with a smile.
Kaella left Oberon's den, ready to return home, when she heard a commotion coming from the main areas of the dens. Curious, she wandered over to investigate and saw a large group of wolves arriving. Pups swarmed around them, yipping in excitement.
"What is going on?" Kaella asked a nearby wolf.
"Ah! The hunters have returned!"
Kaella watched the returning hunters, they were bringing large fresh carcasses with them, and dropped one right in front of the eager swarm of puppies. A chorus of cheers arose from the pups and they dove into the fresh kill. She watched the scene with amusement, before turning to leave.
She stopped, her nose twitching at a new scent. It was intoxicating! It smelled better then an entire field of fresh flowers, and more enticing then a ripe kill. She turned back, eyes scanning the area for the source of the aroma.
There.
A stunningly handsome bronze colored male wolf stood in the middle of the hunters, smiling as he watched the pups frolic and feast.
"Who is that?" Kaella asked the wolf, gesturing with her snout at the bronze male.
"Oh? Him? That's Meteor."
"Meteor." Kaella sighed longingly. The name was achingly beautiful on her tongue. Meteor stood, the light shining on his coat, she could see his muscles rippling under his fur. His coat was lush and full, clean and simply beautiful. As if in a daze, she took a step towards him.
A different smell broke her out of her daze. The scent of Oberon on her fur. She took a few steps back, embarrassment and shame flooding her. There was no way she could go talk to Meteor now! Not while she stank so strongly of his pack's stud. Kaella retreated into the shadows, slinking towards the edge of the dens. She glanced back over her shoulder at Meteor. She stared at him, filling her mind's eye with his image.
"Meteor..." She whispered, her voice almost breaking. "I will carry and birth these pups, and then, once they are safe. I will return for you. If you will have me." She turned away, and, with tears in her eyes, she ran into the night, back towards the mountains.
