Frostwalker

The fourth link in the chain of succession. Specially adapted to the cold of our home he seemed a natural choice for leadership. More bear-like than wolf, his large size and intimidating build sharply contrasts his peacekeeper personality. It was due to this that the previous leader, Mango Marmalade chose him as the next in line. As was tradition by this point, Mango privately met with Frostwalker to explain to him the duties and responsibilities expected of him. As they walked along the frosty ground the little wisp that had always followed Mango floated with them, dodging snowflakes as just another passenger on the breeze. They walked in silence until dusk when Mango settled on a patch of powdery snow and gestured for Frostwalker to do the same. A beat of silence passed before Mango turned to Frostwalker and began to speak.
"Keep the pack happy", he said. "Make sure they're fed and have ample places to sleep warmly. Mourn when they pass and celebrate when they are born. Bond with them, talk with them, seek advice and give it freely. You rely on them just as much as they rely on you. Resentment and conflict only grows when left to fester, best to stop it before it gets out of paw. They know their duties, make sure that wisdom gets passed on to those that will take their place." He paused before a small smile grew on his face and an amused chuckle tumbled out. "Oh, and try not to scare our dear herbalist as much as I have, one of these days Scuttle will fall apart due to how much he worries!"
