Biography
Son of the aloof Amina, Akhlut never knew his father. When he lost his mother, he formed a close bond with his male relatives. Uncle Hraal the First gifted his immortal squirrel, the perfect toy created by Wizard Zairn. Uncle Iftekharul taught how to fight by waving your open mouth and flinging drool to frighten your opponent. Big brother Basieruz reminded him to be kind.
An independent spirit, Akhlut pushed back when Alpha Taak told him he must wait to take a mate. He would bond with Snowbringer, or they would leave together before they finished their hunting apprenticeship. Wary of damaging relations with the prominent Chaser family, the old male relented. The pair endure whisperings that the relationship is doomed to some future tragedy.
At three and a half years old Basieruz died. Akhlut inherited the visiting butterflies, reminders of Great Grandmother Taiph watching over her descendants.
At 5 years old he awoke to discover new chaser-in-training Chava had stolen Uncle Hraal's squirrel. Frustration nearly drew him to hunt the pup down and teach her a lesson. Thinking longer about it, he realized it would be better to let it go. Four years of living with Snowbringer had brought peace to his life despite the warnings. He decided to let Chava and her mate have their fun.
