Silverstep knew she was more than a healer. She was a tracker, capable of locating walrus on the shores of the Glacier Pass. Silverstep also knew her pack needed skilled paws as open wounds were common, as were infections. Silverstep continued to plead with the hunters to check over their mates and their own pelts. All of them were aware they would not look. And so, Silverstep was kept quite busy. She hardly recalled pacing the frigid cliffs.
