[About this Wolf]

• She is the daughter of Akamu and Maha, the leaders of Deep Roots. Does that make her a princess? Royalty? She is certainly something…
• Huaka trained under Deep Roots's herbalist, Liko, and is knowledgeable about what plants are good and bad. While she's mostly used it while she travels alone, she's happy to pass her knowledge on as she goes on her voyage.

A strange wolf bounds up to you, eyes glimmering, tail wagging. Friendly. "Hello," she speaks, a coy smile gracing her maw. "My name is Huaka."

When you ask what she is doing here, she seats herself on her haunches and, while she grows serious, the smile does not quite ever leave her face. "I am a Traveler," she explains. "Do not worry. My intentions here are not bad! Well, I don't think so, anyway." She chuckles and her tail thumps once against the ground. "I hail from a pack far to the North, where the trees no longer grow. It is called Deep Roots… my alpha, Akamu, is kind and fair. We wish to know more about the packs around us! And what better way than to send an emissary?" Her head tilts, her grin broadens, and, unnecessarily, she elaborates: "That would be me."

There is a croak high above, the rush of wings beating. A raven alights upon her shoulder. "This is Hakon. He will deliver news of how I am doing to my home pack."

"…about us? Oh! Deep Roots? It was founded by the Lady Wolf, Eos. Actually, she is my ancestor, as she is the ancestor of every wolf who has ever lead the Pack. She came from turmoil and strife. Her home pack did not appreciate her mindset. At least, that's how I understand it," the young wolf chuckles and shakes her head. "So she made a place of her own, and offered it as a home for those like herself, and even those who were not."

Lore: Treading to the grasslands with her newfound companion, Delta, the two she wolves and Unity the Jackalope stumbled across a pack out in the open. An elderly herbalist by the name of Mirage greeted them. She explained that after a volcanic eruption buried half of their camp in now cool volcanic rock, they have digging up the ash tainted water to drain. Huaka felt a little sorry for the pack since they couldn't let go of their old home, but she agreed to help a little by offering her knowledge in herbs and help in gathering the most important ones. Mirage thanked her profusely as she was the only wolf in the Galactic Ones with herbalist knowledge, and she was tending to a litter of six at the time.

Lore: After having spent some time with The Galactic Ones, Huaka decided her journey must continue. Early in the spring _{(Nov. 28, 2022 for host and owner purposes)} this journey had lead her to Mira. Mira was an old leader, her age beginning to show, but Huaka never would have known this by the way she was greeted and accepted into the pack. Huaka's eagerness to help was evident, and so Mira gently pointed her to a struggling hunting party. They were down a member, and one of the chasers was just coming into the role. Huaka quickly decided she would join this party — she would help even out the team, all the while teaching the new chaser how to be effective and vigilant.
During her time with this party, she'd made fast friends with Weva, the newest chaser. To show a token of her friendship and good wishes, Huaka decided to weave together a crown of tobacco for Weva, so that she may never forget her.

Lore: Tail wagging she made miss turn didn't notice she taken wrong path. When entering new pack territory she noticed something off wondered where is everyone. Walking around she walks past a rock and hears snarling badger comes out from behind snarling the little wolf looks scared she should go back home where its safe. She backs up ears back the badger aww does the wolfie want me to leave? She nobbed it snarls stalking closer to her. She turned and ran saw fox looks like it trying to tell her to go that way. She goes the way it told her she felt even more lost than she was.

A lighter grey walks out blue jays flying around him. She heard caw she looks up sees a raven it wasn't normal. The male wolf ran up to her. He asks are you alright she felt like she was in a daze. She looks at him fell over. He picked her up carried her on his back saying did you follow the totems? She shook saying whats that? He came to his den and large dark wolf came out helped. After whatever episode she had she learned that the grey is Danny and Daisuki is dark wolf they were mates. They were very kind to her gave her flower and feather. When she recovered. Danny and Daisuki lead her to wolf called Tor.

He lead her the way out to a fast flowing river said this is where you leave. He pointed to log bring. She hugged him he looked surprised at the contact. She said thank you Tor shook his head saying that was first time anyone hugged me he said kindly thank you for being kind miss but your kindness can lead you astray he gave her some advice she took to heart and left with him saying life is like water it flows like the sea he vanished right when she turned to look back. She left.

Lore: Huaka walks across a long prairie path. While she walked, she started to feel strange as if she was being watched. In the corner of her eye she spots a dog sitting watching her. The dog does not move and only tilts it's head at her. She slowly approaches it, as she does a wolf larger then most steps out from behind a tree. "Who are you?" the wolf askes, her voice deeper then most. Huaka stares for a minute before standing tall. "I am a traveler" she responds, the taller raises an eyebrow. "I see. You should be careful traveling alone." Huaka nods not wanting to bother the elder. "Follow me, our Sovereign will be glad to meet you." The wolf turns, walking down a long sandy path. After spending some time meeting all of the wolves of the caves, Huaka decided it was best to leave, she says good bye to Finn telling him to keep the pups, as it was to difficult to bring them with her. She walks away slowly.

Huaka's travels have taken her far, and she has met many wolves in the meantime. Hakon reports for her, is her eyes when she cannot see the path ahead. Deep Roots has traveled since she set off on her journey, but she finds them all the same. The stay with her home pack is brief this time; she tells them of her journeys, of the things she has learned. It is to her dismay, however, that she learns of her mentor's passing on. Heavy-hearted, Huaka speaks to the apprentice– no, he isn't an apprentice anymore. Fronlì is kind as he tells her of his mentor's passing on, of how he always spoke fondly of the pack's first traveler. Of how he's always wanted to meet her.

It isn't long before Huaka sets out once more, eyes on the horizon. Her countenance is grim this time, but she hopes she has left some good will in the hearts of packs around her, and she will not give up so easily on her mission. "Come, Hakon! I cannot do this with you," she smiles at her feathered companion, "we still have much to see."

Lore: Snow Hearts, as always, were in awe of a wolf with a companion. They greeted Hakon and Huaka with gently waving tails and heads bowed in respect. Once they learned of Huaka's recent grief, they shared theirs as well: Void Junior, host of travelers, had passed on. The more they chatted, the more similarities they discovered. Huaka was knowledgeable of herbs and their uses, as were several of the Snow Hearts members. As such, Huaka spent quite a deal of time with Beep, Dapple, Di, and SherbeRt before the latter two passed on. Hopefully with a lighter heart, Huaka moved on to...

Lore: Huaka arrived in Cwm Tondau in late summer, exhausted and heavily pregnant. Hoping that the river at the trough offer some respite she started to descend down into the valley.
Unfortunately some of the slopes leading down to the valley floor were incredibly steep, and recent rainfall had coated them with slick mud. She attempted the slopes with as much caution as she could afford, but her pregnant belly didn't help any, and she quickly lost balance and took a tumble. Her hind leg got caught in the fall, snapping it and leaving her in agony and unable to lift herself back up.

Thankfully it wasn't long before she was found by Llywelyn, the leader of the resident pack of Pont-y-Rhedyn. Though the situation was unfortunate, and certainly less than ideal, the pack was welcoming. Llywelyn helped her back to the den, handing her off to the herbalist Melynddu. Though she seemed competent, the hebalist was nervous and incredibly quiet. Llywelyn informed her that she was deaf.

It soon became apparent that it would take quite some time for Huaka's leg to heal. Melynddu's partner, Aniara, was happy to play interpretor for them - but of course, she couldn't sit in the herbalist's den all day. As such, Huaka decided to apply herself and learn their sign language. Overjoyed with her enthusiasm the pair were happy to tutor her, and by the end of her stay Huaka was near fluent. Melynddy's initial nervousness soon faded, and as Huaka learned to communicate with her her true nature as an lively chatterbox revealed itself. She worked closely with Melynddu over this time, assisting with herbalist duties and exchanging knowledge and remedies, and they became rather close friends.

Despite her fall, Huaka whelped her pups just fine and delivered three healthy little pups. She allowed them to be raised in line with the pack's traditions, with the pack leader naming them. Though they grew up in the herbalist's den with their mother, they all went on to do their own thing as adolescents.

She remained in the pack for near enough a full year, not wanting to risk further injury, eventually deciding to move on in the next summer when her leg was fully healed. With her pups almost fully grown, she left them behind in Pont-y-Rhedyn.

Lore: It was a busy time for the Court when Huaka arrived. It seemed like their leader, Todoh, had been tasked to play matchmaker for the wolves of the Lands, as well as helping defeating some annoying coyotes. And on top of that, the portal to the Dreamlands had just opened so Todoh, now quite elderly, had his paws full. Huaka offered to help him a bit, accompanying him during his frequent explore session in both the Coniferous Forest and the Prairie.

Lore: Huaka arrived in the evergreen forest in late winter, the snow beginning to melt. She came into Moonlight River at an odd time, they were all packing up to leave the area, and move to another part of the woods. A stiff air of panic lay over the pack, sneaking glances at their lead whenever she passed by. Huaka was welcomed, not unkindly, nobody paying her much mind. She began to spend her time around the lead, Artemis, who was distressed. She felt abandoned, alone amidst her pack, but Huaka's presence helped some. Eventually, Huaka had to leave, and she felt horrible deep down, knowing she was deepening the abandonment in Artemis' heart.
