Poplar is something of the "Head Pupsitter" of the pack. Snowdrop is equally skilled, but Poplar is definitely more down-to-earth and usually takes charge of the nursery while Snowdrop daydreams. He is one of the most experienced in caring for puppies, and is able to manage the entire nursery by himself pretty well if no other sitters are around. He and his mate, Cypress, are usually the go-to foster parents when any new puppies join the pack, and Poplar treats his own pups the same as he would any other pup in the nursery. He often teaches the pups little things about hunting and pack life before they're handed off to Onyx for proper training. A bad fight with an elk when he was young made Poplar unable to have biological pups of his own, but he is just as happy acting as a father to all the other pups in the pack, especially when their biological parents could care less about them as offspring.
