Amira was part of the previous lead's, Artemis', fourth litter. She has many half-siblings, though she only has three litter mates. Two are still in the pack, but one ventured off to find a home in a new place, possibly with a different pack. Her mother selected her to be the first heiress to the throne because of her optimistic attitude, her intelligence, and her uncanny natural beauty, even at a young age.

She was raised in the deciduous forest, where she met and befriended a wolf from a bordering pack named Twilight Reckoning at a young age, who was also the heiress of her pack. The two lost their mothers on the same day and held a coronation party both to publicly display the transition of leadership, but also to honor the lives of the two lost.

Whenever she grew older, she eventually married Sayu, a female from a neighboring wolf pack who she met by chance while patrolling. When the two became close, Sayu left the pack she'd been born into to join Artemis' pack instead. When Amira had finished her coronation and was now queen of the pack, she was asked to pick a ruling partner by the council. At that time, she named Sayu and the two became official mates.

When she was a year old and had her first litter, she fell ill with the flu. While she survived, the disease ended up taking the lives of both her pups. Eventually, she fell pregnant again with three pups, one being stillborn. Her daughter remained in the pack while her son was adopted into a pack from the Deciduous Forest. Shortly after, a fox skulk attacked the pack, resulting in the loss of the lives of many younger members, bringing their pup/adolescent numbers down by about 50%
