Mátalie has always been a very modest wolf to practically everyone she has encountered during her time as leader. Even in the toughest of times, Mátalie stood strong with her members. Winter hardships, the white cough, and even the deadly influenza virus didn't stop her from working hard to provide for and protect her pack, nor her family. She eventually gave birth to Eden, thinking that would be the end of it. Unfortunately, one of her puppies did not survive the night.

Her eldest and only son left home and started traveling on his own at a young age, The 4 and 5, Nebula and Terrisa, stayed with the pack and grew there while the second, Vantanii, also left to become like her older brother. Terrisa chose to stay with her sister and watch her develop into a great leader while she joined the hunting party rather than leaving the pack for good. Nebula was chosen as the next heir out of the two girls that remained following her mother's death. The day of Mátalie's passing was unexpected, yet it had been expected. She passed away gently in her slumber in her den as the moonlight shone on her lifeless body.

The howling of everyone there who'd gathered to grieve the loss of their leader filled the woodland and the night sky. Despite the overwhelming sense of loss, they persisted for they knew that their leader lived to the fullest.
