A mischievous and often troublesome pup, Serpent found himself in trouble often. Born with a scar along his nose and mouth. He was rumored to be in danger. The curse that affected only the leads of the pack was somehow effecting him. Abigail, the pack leader, spent a lot of time personally training and teaching him. This was because every other pup was scared of him. This strangely warped Serpents personality. He started hunting before he was able to take up an official role in the pack and refused to efficiently kill anything he caught. Preferring to let them bleed out after chasing them into exhaustion. A particular muskrat carcass he decided to keep, it's body oddly lacking blood and not rotting at all. He collected rabbits feet and bones, getting caught every now and then trying to grab herbs from the herbalist. Abigail noticed he was able to consume rotting meat and illnesses seemed to have less effect on him than other pack members. The curse was more extreme within Serpent. Almost as if he attracted it. His eyes, while shared with other wolves in the pack, changed color. Often turning black, bright red, and surprisingly blue. This was how Abigail found another feature of the curse. It took the previous leaders and their influence, making it into its own entity. It wasn't them, but remnants of them. The darker sides of them, the sadness and negativity. Michael's later anger at the curse, Paramore's depression and bitterness. When his eyes changed it was as if he was possessed, letting these residual feelings take over him, repeating outbursts and arguments each lead had with late pack members. When his eyes turned black he merely ominously stared off in the distance seemingly appearing and disappearing at will. It reminded Abigail of a story Paramore had shared, about a pup within the lands her and her mother were born in. The dreamlands. A pup referred to as Nobaby who seems supernatural in nature. Rumors that it was Tala's lost pup made the story eerier. Serpent was being possessed by these entities. Perhaps it's not the curse, but the spirits themselves changing this pup for the worst.
