Obsidian is a great chaser. Unsurprising as he is one of the strongest and fastest wolves in the pack. Obsidian knows how skilled he is and isn't afraid to brag about it.

Caramel and Obsidian aren't that close truth be told. They hang together more so the pack gets off their backs about not having any friends. Obsidian does like having someone to vent endlessly to and Caramel has gotten very good at ignoring Obsidian, it's a good match.

History

Obsidian was born to Lapis and Fire alongside his littermates Steel and Cacao. Obsidian has always been a cocky and vain wolf. Being born the largest and strongest in his litter, he would often brag about his strength to his siblings. Steel couldn't care less about what his brother said, while Cacao just yelled at Obsidian for acting like an idiot. The three siblings did care for each other truth be told, even if they spent most of their time fighting.

Growing faster than his siblings, Obsidian was allowed to begin some simple training sooner than his brother and sister. Obsidian knew he was meant to be a hunter like his parents, he would be putting his strength to waste in any other job. Getting to watch a few hunts made his blood rush, he was eager to reach adolescence and join hunts himself.

Once an adolescent, Obsidian began his training as a hunter. His sister took on the role of hunter beside him and the two quickly established a rivalry. Teamwork took Obsidian a while to master, he didn't see why he needed to work with others when he could do it all himself. The older wolves ended up putting his theory to the test, sending Obsidian out to hunt by himself. After getting a nasty bruise from a particularly stubborn elk, Obsidian decided team hunting wasn't so bad. Cacao enjoyed seeing her brother's pride being tarnished, and vowed to name one of her future pups after the elk that humbled him.

By the time Obsidian reached adulthood, he was a greatly skilled and respected chaser. He was still very full of himself, and had a hard time following orders, but he understood the importance of teamwork and would keep his snappy remarks for after his team finished hunting for the day.

Obsidian had very high standards, he figured he would never find a mate as a result. Not that it bothered him, unlike his sister, he would never settle for mediocre. If he was meant to have a mate, then fate would bring him a wolf that matched his strength and talent.

Obsidian was mad when his mother passed, she had always been such a strong and powerful wolf. Someone like her should get to live forever. He felt the same when his dad passed not long after, at least his father got to be an amazing hunter until the end.

On the 7th year and 6th month of his life, Obsidian made his way to the mountains summit. Caribou, Steel and Cacao keeping him company through most of the journey. Once at the top, looking out at the endless sky, Obsidian, Steel and Cacao were greeted by their parents, Fire and Lapis, who gently guided them to the afterlife.
