Duck had always wanted to be a pupsitter and was happy to become a mentor when Cacao passed. She would be there for the pups that needed her and would protect them with her life.

Duck loves making friends, but she somehow found herself closest with the distant and prickly Steel. She knows that she is one of the few wolves Steel can stand being around and she loved accompanying him when collecting herbs.


History

Duck was born to Charcoal and Swan alongside her littermate Ox. Duck has always been a nurturing wolf, taking care of and comforting her denmates when they needed it. She was also prepared to protect them with her life, the pup being surprisingly fierce for her age. She knew from a young age she wanted to spend her life caring for pups and was determined to be an amazing pupsitter.

Once an adolescent, Duck began her training as a pupsitter, with her brother taking on the role of a chaser. Duck loved the job right away and found it very awarding. She was grateful for how kind and patient the pupsitters were when training her and knew she had made the right decision in choosing this role.

By the time Duck reached adulthood, she had shown herself to be a kind and surprisingly fierce pupsitter. Duck would diligently care for and protect the future pups of her pack. While waiting for pups however, she was just as eager to take care of the base and keep it safe and tidy.

Duck wouldn't mind a mate one day, but she was also content raising pups and caring for her pregnant packmates. It would be nice to find a mate, but Duck also wasn't going to wait around either.

One day, while out collecting moss for bedding, Duck came across two orphaned pups being attacked by a coyote. The sight filled Duck with anger, the wolf feeling her claws prickle with electricity as she attacked the coyote, scaring it off. Once she calmed down, she noticed the two pups she saved weren't normal pups, they were Cnitharian pups. Duck didn't care, these pups needed a home, and she would provide it to them.

Duck named her new pups Apollo and Artemis. She loves her pups dearly, though… She has noticed they don't seem to be aging. Or rather, they age much slower than a typical wolf. She doesn't know how long their lives will be, if she had to guess it would be much longer than her own. Nonetheless, she will care for them for as long as they need her.

Duck was heartbroken when her father passed away, she had always been close with them as he was also a pupsitter. Once she felt she was finally moving on, her mother passed away and her heart got broken all over again. She will hold her parents in her heart forever.

When Cacao passed, Duck took on the role of mentor. Duck loves the job; she had always enjoyed taking care of pups and now she is also in charge of teaching pups' important life skills.

On the 7th year and 6th month of her life, Duck made her way to the mountains summit. Caribou, Ox, Alder, Brass and Topaz keeping her company through most of the journey. Once at the top, looking out at the endless sky, Duck and Ox were greeted by their parents, Charcoal and Swan, who gently guided them to the afterlife.
