Biography
"No, no, no,"
Luna hurriedly carried Icicle into the Herbalist Den. The little pup was covered in bleeding wounds and her eyes drooped close. She dropped Icicle at the paws of an orange wolf.
"Flame, you have to help," She told him in a rush.
"Of course I will," Flame assured her. "What else would I do? Leave a poor pup to die?"
"Here, take a look," Luna nudged Icicle closer to Flame with her nose and Icicle whined in pain. "Is it- w-will she survive?"
Flame looked over Icicle for a few seconds. "Luna... I hate to break it to you, but this bad of a snake bite, and right on the neck, she won't make it."
"No. There has to be some way. Flame, you have to save her!" Luna insisted.
Icicle blinked open her eyes. She stared sleepily at both wolves, her eyes cloudy.
"Mama? What's happening?" She looked up at Luna.
"Nothing, my dear," Luna told her. "You were just playing too rough and a snake bit you. Flame has an antidote here for it, and after he uses it, you'll feel much better."
"Luna, that won't work," Flame informed her. "This bite is too deep."
"No-" Luna began.
"Mama, why does everything hurt?" Icicle asked.
"Hush, little one, you're leaving this world. When you wake up, you'll be in a new world with lots of new friends to play with." Flame told her gently.
"Will Mama and Dad be there?" Icicle's eyelids began to droop.
"No, but they'll join you up there one day," Flame promised. "Shush, go to sleep,"
"Icicle-" Luna cleared her throat. "Before you go, I want to tell you, I love you. I'm sorry you have to go so early."
"Mama? Why are you crying?" Icicle inquired. "That new world can't be that bad, right?"
Her voice trailed off, her eyes closed, and she may still.
