He wasn't always the leader; but even then the pack listened to him and shunned the words of the woman that called herself their "Alpha". He never liked that word; nothing that would drag a pack under someone and call them a hierarchy.

He was not above his wolves. They were his friends, not his paw-maidens.

And thus when the time came; he stepped into the position with nothing but open arms from those all around him; his mate, a Wolf-Dog he'd rescued from human wrath years prior, now stood at his side to the ultimate dismay of the previous woman that led "her pack" with an iron claw.

But her cares made no difference anymore today than they had days prior. Scythe stood the proud leader of Sovereign, and he should ever do so as so said the universe the day he found upon himself a trickle of ultimate life.

The secret drink that powered life beyond years.

Over and over he'd serve. Sometimes shedding new fur as age tore through him over and over like any other wolf or dog or fox. And yet at the end of that shedding time, he'd be reborn anew, the same old man with those same soft eyes behind a new glistening coat of blues and silvers.

Never absolutely the same; but always the same burning silver soul within his chest.

Scythe; through and through, would lead this pack into every possible future.

And he'd have it no other way.
