A young apprentice, actually. Barely even one, got chased from her pack it was a rule in the pack, that the weakest, and the not so great children of the alphas would be chased, as soon as they hit apprentice age. Either to die. Or to create their own. It was a terrible rule. One, shade felt bad for the pack. Hoping one day, her little sibling would change the rule, she would come back and sneak into the territory sometimes, and peak, only to occasionally witness a beating to a pup, or them chasing the adolescent out of their territory. She would find the poor apprentice and explain the whole story as to the apprentice being her niece and shade being the aunt. Most times the adol asked questions, others would understand quickly. As the apprentices grew to adult they would leave, starting there own packs. Much like shade did except she'd owned the pack since apprenticeship. Shade usually struggles with keeping the pack fed, due to the lack of training, though there are rumors about how shade neglects her pack. Though not true.
