1 wolf (Sandstone)
______________________________
After he left Woodland Ghost pack he joined ours and continued to tend to sick wolves as he did before. It was truly his greatest passion and love of his live. He spent most of the days foraging for herbs, mixing new mixtures and trying out various medicines. We will never forget some of his failed experiments – one turned his tongue blue and it lasted until the moon became full again. He had a gift for plants though, it was like they revealed themselves to him with the most lush leaves and the most ripe berries.
Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months and Sandstone was always by our side with his herbs and salves, even when his walk became less and less springy and he nedeed more time each morning to shake of the stiffiness off his bones. He helped our females give birth time after time, and then watched newborn pups with certain warm in his eyes, very well aware that the youngsters will know him only from the spoken tales and songs of our pack, as his days were coming to an end.
He took his last breath surrounded by the very wolves he tended to so many times. We covered his fur with moss, forget-me-not flowers and some seeds, and then buried him under old roots of the Motherly Tree. He will become one with the forest, growing within each new seedling, giving new life and healing long after his death.
