Lurk spent a little longer wandering as a rogue wolf than most wolves do, but it was all in the name of research and study. He was always a clever little pup and eager to learn from the pack's herbalist, it surprised no one when he was selected to become an apprentice and learn the trade. Thankfully, he was not only passionate but good at it too.
Many lone wolves flee from prejudice or abuse, but Lurk's story was not such a terrible one. He came upon the pack by pure accident, having come south from the arctic colds in order to find more herbs to study. It was there that he met Zima, one of the pack's lead hunters, and found himself invited to a meal. Initially, he planned on staying only until he learned all that there was about local plants, but he warmed up to the pack over time and simply chose to stay. Many wondered whether there will be a day when he chooses to wander anew but he has decided to call these mountains his home. Over time, he took young Fori as his apprentice and taught him the trade so the youth could take over once Lurk became too old for the practice. Lurk lived a full and happy life until old age took him.
