Biography
Ficklefrost/Frostfickle/Frozenheart/Frostenheart/Frostsnap/Frozenfickle/Frozensnap/Frozencrack/Ficklefreeze
Mothmoon was walking along the frozen river of the woodlands, doing his nightly patrols along the Shining Sky territory. He was about to turn home when he heard the yelping of a small puppy coming from the snowy forest. Mothmoon rushed to the sound to see a small figure standing on the middle of a frozen river, shaking violently. Taking a step forward, Mothmoon prepared to go help the puppy when he felt the ice of the river crack under him. The river was unstable, and unsafe to walk on with the full weight of an adult wolf. Mothmoon huffs under his breath, knowing that this mission could leave both him and the puppy soaked in frozen water at best and at worst . . .
Still, Mothmoon knew he couldn't leave the puppy, not without disgracing the names of those before him who would drop anything to save a pup in need. Mothmoon crouches to his stomach and shudders at the cold feeling on his stomach, crawling forward closer to the pup. The pup had noticed him by now, their whimpers and yelps having softened to whines and pleading looks. Now that he was closer, Mothmoon could see the puppy's front left foot was caught in a hole in the ice. Mothmoon carefully nudges the puppy, ecouraging them to attempt to lift their foot from the hole, but it wouldn't budge. Mothmoon grows frustrated as the puppy continues to try and fail as remove it's foot itself, the night only becoming darker and colder. Mothmoon attempts to grab the puppy by its scruff and force it's foot from the hole but this proves to be a catatrophic mistake, as his movement caused the ice to break. The puppy falls into the ice, its panicked yelping and splashing bellowing throughout the forest. Mothmoon's back half fell through the ice, the sudden freezing feeling on his back half temporarily shocking him enough to have him pass out.
The puppy's movements grew lesser and it's sounds grew quiter, the cold seeping deep into it's bones. The cold consumed the puppy and it stopped moving entirely, letting the freezing water take it as it slipped under. After a moment, Mothmoon awoke, the shock leaving him. He looked around frantically for the puppy and when he didn't spot it, he quickly dragged himself from the water and looked at the break in which the puppy fell through. He searched for a long while, but the darkness of the night made it difficult to see anything. Suddenly, he sees a bit of movement in the water and dunks his head in, biting at nothing until he felt a bunch of fur in his muzzle, He pulls his head up and sets the bundle of fur on the ice and almost passes out from shock again at the sight before him.
It was the same puppy as before- he knew it from the body and build of the puppy - but it's fur was different. The previously black fur of the puppy was now a chilling pale blue, along with the skin, nose, and claws. It was like the chill of the iced river and the puppy had melding into one. Mothmoon shakes his head and grabs the limp puppy by its scruff before shuffling carefully off the river as to not fall in again. He lays the puppy on the stable ground and nudges it, but gets no response. He wouldn't be sure the puppy was still alive if not for the faintest of heart beats and the rasping breaths the puppy takes. Mothmoon was no healer, so he hurries off to his pack to find his herablist, Risingshine. Risingshine drops everything to see the puppy and gets straight to work in trying to warm the puppy up, the cold seeming to radiate from its shivering body. Many days pass in which there are many close calls, but after a nervewracking few weeks, the puppy's temperature is stable enough, though it's heartbeat is still faint. The puppy wakes up sluggish and confused as to where it is, being generally docile until it sets its piercing, unatrually blue tinted eyes upon Mothmoon.
The puppy begins to bark and snarl at Mothmoon, and while not intimidating, Mothmoon is deeply unsettled by the reaction of the puppy. Risingshine tries to calm the puppy, licking it's forehead in an attempt to sooth its seemingly irratic behaviour. To Mothmoon's relief, this works and the puppy is sated, though still shooting glares that seem to pierce through Mothmoon's body at him. While the puppy sleeps, Risingshine and oothmoon speak in private and discuss what happened to the puppy and what is to be done. Rishingshine gives a theory that the chilling waters the puppy was subjected to frozen everything about the puppy, it's fur, it's claws, it's skin, it's eyes, it's nose, and most distressingly, it's heart. Risingshine believed that the puppy itself was still trapped in the chilling near death both mentally and physically, though being miles away from it, explaining it's cold nature and general agression- that like ice, the puppy can be sharp and cutting. Mothmoon decides it would be best to avoid the puppy for now, but not before naming it Frozenpup, for its frozen past, present, and soon to be future.
Frozenpaw is a solitary wolf, being seen only with Risingshine and a few select others and having an outwards agression towards others, as if they weren't worth it's time of day. Frozenpaw only seems to get only with Risingshine, Honeypaw, and Midnightpaw, though just barely. Frozenpaw still has increased agression towards Mothmoon, even going so far as to attempt to harm Mothmoon with foul play such as leaving thorns in Mothmoon's den or finding poisonous berries in Risingshine's herb hoard to put in Mothmoon's prey. This earns it stern talking tos and punishment from both Mothmoon and Rishingshine, but it does little to dissade it from its behaviours, every negative interaction from the talks seemingly only encouraging it. It switches roles frequently, Mothmoon wisely deciding that it shouldn't begin a pupsitter as normal due to it's past behaviour.
